The American Preventive Health Organization was established in 2019 following months of planning and brainstorming. Dr. Sandra El Hajj, after her intensive trips to developing and developed countries in the Gulf and Europe, moved back to Florida in 2016.
Having worked on regional and international health reform activities as well as humanitarian projects, teaming up with foreign health ministries and local organizations, she decided to launch a new Health Organization in Florida. Her vision was clear and her passion dominating: she wanted to help individuals have a better quality of their life.
The organization is based on six pillars that are education, research, policy making, health awareness, environmental &occupational medicine and the allocation of resources. Gathering a team of highly skilled professionals, and teaming up with international organizations like ministries of health and universities, Dr. Sandra is ready to move forward.
Our mission is to improve populations’ wellbeing and quality of life while decreasing the YPLL (years of potential life lost). Life is too precious and is every individual’s gift, regardless of gender, age, social status, and origin. Through research and the development of health reforms and policies, we can expand the understanding of heath and medicine. Finally, we believe in the profound impact of laws and regulations and we will make sure to play major roles in observing, amending and creating new ones.
“A good, safe, healthy, happy and secure long life is the right of every individual on earth”
The American Preventive Health Organization will be focusing on both local and international projects by forming coalitions with local organizations in developing countries.
1- Preventive and Wellness Health awareness. Our goal is to encourage Americans embrace a healthier lifestyle through making minor adjustments to their lifestyles. This will help decrease the YPLL and increase longevity while improving their quality of life.
2- Healthy Environment and Home. We believe in the right of every individual for a healthy environment and safe home.
3- Research and Innovation. One of the most important factors in the medical and health field is research. We want to initiate epidemiological studies through primary data collection to help advance the health sector at both a local and international level.
